So I guess that this Wednesday will be the start of week 12 with only 2 days. This is getting ridiculous! Maybe like the Sandusky case, they should start having court on the weekend.
So like most other trials that interest me, I have a chat room on facebook. But, due to some debby downers, it's now secret as will any other room I create for real time chatting during a trial that is live streaming. If you aren't already in it, you probably won't be in it.
People question my intelligence and or my knowledge of cases and or the law. These are the same people that sit behind their computer screens all day instead of getting out and actually attending a few of these interesting cases as I have done. They are also the ones that apparently aren't so interested in the case that they have never been to a crime scene or places associated with the cases. My youtube channel proves that for me.
I think that Jodi is a sociopath that upon learning she wasn't going to Cancun with Travis, plotted to kill him. She stole her grandfathers gun 2 weeks prior, got gas cans so she wouldn't have to stop, etc. Has anyone considered that the 3rd gas can was used to burn all of the evidence out in the desert?
I still wonder about the roommates of Travis not needing to do their clothes, being able to walk by his room and not be suspicious as Mimi said they could smell death as soon as they opened the front door. There is evidence out there that a roommate was going to use the clothes washer but saw clothes in there and went up to talk to Travis. There is a sneaker impression in the blood on the tile no one has talked about. Was Jodi conspiring with a roommate and that is who dragged him back to the shower?
Another thing to think about, a video came out recently of Travis speaking of an attack that sounds eerily similar to the one Jodi described as the "Ninja Attack" her 2nd story. The way she looks in the video draped over him and not really engaged in the conversation or the people around. She wanted him all to herself but he was happy sitting there telling his story. he obviously DID show PDA as per that video.
Oh and I had another thought... we've never heard from Victor Arias or his family. We have seen no pictures. Anyone else find it convenient he has her last name... and what some don't know is Travis' middle name was Victor! How was she doing an exchange program when she wasn't in school? Just some things to think about.
She did it, she's admitted to it, and she's showing no remorse. She's begging for the jury to save her life through her testimony. I think that like Casey Anthony would have had she been convicted, she's having too much fun in jail and has turned to the girly side. She still doesn't get we all see through her act.
Onward and upwards until the next day of trial.....

Newtown, Connecticut
It will never be the same for me! I lived in nearby town New Fairfield, CT and had to use Danbury Hospital many times during the 7 years I lived there. This is the 2nd tragedy this year for my classmates and I to have to try and go through.
The first was the deadly shooting at the end of the street I lived on where a 5th grade teacher shot and killed what he thought was an intruder in his sisters house (next door). Turns out when the police removed the mask it was his very own adopted son.
Now, we have the school shooting in Newton, CT. The one thing I don't understand is, why did he choose those 2 classrooms? I feel for his brother and father. I don't think they will ever have answers. Don't lose sight that they too lost people they loved.
Some of the early reports put out a false facebook of the shooter which ended up being a guy completely not connected. Turns out, the shooter had his older brothers id with him. They had just recently changed the security at the school. It is also reported he tried to gain entry to the school a few days before or the day before. If they didn't recognize you on the camera you have to show an id and sign in. That is where the confusion at the beginning as to who the shooter really was came from.
Some great hero's came out of this story too! a 6 year old that was in the classroom where Vicki Soto had been. He saw his teacher get shot and some of his friends. He was interviewed by police and he was very good at recalling details etc. He doesn't yet know that his teacher and those kids have died. He had the sense of mind to run past the gunman, out the door, and down the street to safety. Way to go!
Vicki Soto was a teacher who had huddled all of her kids behind her to shield her and gave her life trying to protect them.
Another teacher shut and locked the door, pulled the blinds down, huddled everyone in a corner away from the door and read them a book until the police banged on the door saying it was all clear. They had the sense of mind to instruct the kids to line up, close their eyes, and put their hands on the shoulders of the person in front of them as they were lead out around some of the bodies etc. so they wouldn't see it.
So sad. Just so sad.
Thank you to the media for keeping the cameras focused on the firehouse and not on the school while parents were escorted to identify their child and giving them the privacy.
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this.
Here's a link to the giveaway of the nail polish color specially done for Newtown and how you can get it if you don't win.

Dateline last night
so last night Dateline profiled a case that was right here by me. I'd followed the case from the beginning and have very strong feelings about it. here's the link to dateline:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032600
The story was called The Day She Disappeared, The Nancy Cooper case. before I post my views on this case I'd love for y'all to watch that show and then go to:

Look and see what all Dateline left out then come back and tell me your thoughts.

Casey Anthony
I'm not gonna give her a lot of the attention she is craving but I just had to wonder WTF was she thinking calling Pierce Morgan when the appeal is up in the air on her conviction and the civil suit is still going on? can we say DUMBASS? *shakes head* that's all you'll get from me.
Jerry Sandusky's Trial
I don't know about anyone else, but I am getting tired of the constant coverage of this trial. Yes, child molestation is a very important subject and my view pisses people off and some have said it's people like me that keep victims from stepping forward etc.
However, have you ever thought that these now men get revictimized not only when they testify but every time their story is brought up on the news? There is a reason they don't allow camera's normally in molestation/sex crime trials. While this isn't the reason the camera's aren't in the courtroom in this case, in mostly every other state they aren't allowed due to the sensitive subject and respecting the victims etc.
Also, in these cases the identity of the victims are protected etc. The fact that this judge decided not to strikes a chord with me. I applaud In Session for NOT revealing the identities and keeping the protection there even when the court wouldn't.
On Monday people were mentioning how big the news media presence was there and tried to compare it to the likes of the Casey Anthony case etc. Let me tell you, I was at the Casey Anthony trial for a day, there was no where NEAR this many news agencies/ satellite trucks present there as they are here. The reason It's so much bigger here is because football is like at least a national attention getting if not globally since we are seeing agencies not from the US there. Even Sports Illustrated is there! Penn State is KNOWN for their football and that is what the areas around the college are all about. Everyone roots for Penn State and supports the college etc.
We don't need to know ALL the facts, it's none of our business. Yes, it's in court but just because something is in court doesn't mean we are entitled to know every single detail. The more you discuss the facts, the more you revictimize these guys over and over.
Thoughts?

Adam Kaufman Trial
I have to say that I am very happy he was found not guilty. He is innocent. I know this because of experiences in my own life. When I was in high school, I had an allergic reaction to a medicine and the reaction was to pass out after using the restroom. This wasn't the only time. Prior to my marriage, while living at my parents house I had another allergic reaction to another medicine. Not only did I pass out after using the restroom, I never made it out of the toilet area. In my parents house the bathrooms had the toilets in their own separate area that you could close a door for privacy etc. while others were using the sinks etc. Apparently, When I got up to leave the toilet area, I passed out b/w the doorway and the toilet getting a bruise around the left eye and cheek. I also bruised my backside which had hit the toilet on the way down apparently. So it does happen. I wasn't even 25 when that happened.
While I was a senior in high school, I had a family friend pass away of an undiagnosed enlarged heart. He was 23 and in the navy. Don't you think that would show up in the physical? The days leading up to his passing, he had been practicing on deep dives in a deep dive tank. His roommate had moved out and they had a false alarm fire alarm go off. No one saw him come out during that so they went to check on him and that's when they found him. He'd passed away 3 days prior. He hadn't complained of chest pains or anything else prior to his passing. It is possible for people that young to have heart issues and not even know it!
Lena's family said she had had several episodes of fainting so it's entirely plausible that is what happened and when she did, her neck landed on the strap of the magazine holder and cut off her airway. She was out cold so the lack of oxygen wouldn't have taken long for her to pass away due to this.
I just hope that Adam and all the people affected by the loss can now move on with their grieving. What do you guys think of this case?

Baby Gabriel Case
So I've been watching all the coverage on the baby Gabriel case and it kinda reminds me of 2 other high profile cases from the past. The most recent of course being Casey Anthony and the not so recent Melinda Duckett.
Casey from day one wanted to put Caylee up for adoption but momma Cindy wouldn't have it. Casey eventually got jealous of the relationship Cindy was forming with Caylee so my opinion is that she killed her to hurt her mother because she tried to be Caylee's mother and seemingly a better mother to Caylee than she was to Casey!
Melinda on the other hand, was also mentally unstable and would constantly use Trenton as a pawn like Elizabeth Johnson was doing with baby Gabriel. I have a feeling, like the previous two cases, that Gabriel is no longer alive and was killed out of spite like the other two.
I wish women like this weren't able to procreate and use their babies as pawns. There are people all over the world that can't have kids and desperately want kids! I think that Elizabeth's conversation in jail with Tammi is quite telling. From the loads of observations I've made over the years in cases and watching people, I think Tammi was telling the truth and being played by Elizabeth. I think Tammi stopped for a moment to make sure that she could clearly state what she was going to and that if it were true she set up an adoption with friends of hers they would have already figured that out. I think Tammi was played by Elizabeth BIG time because Elizabeth saw how desperate Tammi was to adopt another child.
I feel for the men like Josh Duckett and Logan in what they have been put through and will probably never find out what happened to their sons due to the selfish, sick, unstable women they impregnated.
Just my $0.02.
