Adam Montgomery

Adam is on trial for killing his 5 year old daughter Harmony by beating her with his closed fist. He hid the body and tried to tamper with his wifes testimony.

His charges are:

2. 2nd Degree Murder. Adam wrecklessly caused the death of Harmony, a person under 13 yrs of age, under circumstances manifesting in the extreme indifference to the value of life by repeatedly striking Harmony on the head with a closed fist.

3. Falsifying Physical Evidence. Knowing an investigation was looming did purposely alter, destroy, conceal or removed the body of Harmony with the purpose to impair availability for said investigation.

4. Abuse of a Corpse. That the defendant did purposely and unlawfully removed, concealed, destroyed the corpse of Harmony or any part there of. 5. Tampering With Witnesses or Informants. Adam believing that official proceedings were coming, investigation was coming, did purposely attempt to induce or otherwise cause Kayla Montgomery to testify or inform falsely.

His wife, Stepmother to Harmony, has not been charged with the death, but was charged with perjury to the grand jury. She did a plea deal which includes testifying in this trial. She is who broke the case by telling authorities what Adam did. Here's an article on it:

Kayla Montgomery

Trial is to take 6 wks supposedly. I look forward to hearing all the facts!

Jennifer Crumbly Found Guilty!

The jury forewoman said the main thing for the verdict was the fact she was the last adult to have the gun in her hands. What took so long to announce this then? She said both sides were equally represented. I myself felt she was as she admitted to being the one that was responsible to hide the ammunition that was used in the shooting. She took him to the shooting range. she knew of the gun and never told the school.

The school is being sued civally. It's the way it should be. While they didn't search the bag they had in their control, they had no reason to believe he had a gun, let alone that he had it on campus to be able to have probable cause to search the bag. Given all they knew of him though and that drawing would cause most to decide they needed to call the police to search him, his belongings, and his locker over abundance of caution given todays environment.

James is up next in March.
